Meet Our Family

I am thrilled that you have found my little corner of the internet. My name is Megan Card, and I am the founder and primary author of this blog, though my husband Greg, will likely make an appearance from time to time. Some of you may already be familiar with me through my previous blog, {All Things New}. But for those of you who are new, allow me to introduce myself.  I am a twenty-something wife to my high school sweetheart, and the mother of two boys. We currently reside in the great state of Texas!

While I am a mommy and a blogger, I do not consider myself strictly a mommy-blogger. The topic of motherhood will inevitably come up in conversation here, because it is very much apart of my identity, but it will not be the primary focus of this blog. Likewise, I will occasionally  post DIY projects because I enjoy making things and am currently teaching myself how to sew, however, I do not consider this a DIY blog either.  I am no DIY expert and it is unlikely that you will find my creations all over Pinterest! Hahaha! I love to run and workout and I will most likely post updates from time to time, but this is not a fitness blog.  (I bet you are beginning to wonder what I will write about! haha)

I love Jesus with every fiber my of being. I am irrevocably, unabashedly, fervently in love with Him. The primary focus of this blog is to chronicle my faith journey and the lessons that I learn along the way. I am not perfect. I make mistakes. God knows my family can attest to that. It is my heartfelt desire to be open and transparent with all of you- to write about the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.

I am passionate about God’s Word. I am not a Biblical scholar by any means, but I love to study Scripture and I love to teach. Greg and I feel called to adopt, so the subject of adoption and orphan care will be frequent topics of discussion here.  God is stirring up some things in our little family that I cannot openly discuss with you-yet. Hopefully it will not be too much longer before we can share with all of you the direction He is leading us. I do hope that you will visit frequently and take this journey with us. It is so much easier traveling alongside friends :)

Megan!  Your family is adorable and your smile just has Jesus written all over it! =)  I’m so in love with your new layout, too.  Well worth the effort, sweetie!  Can’t wait to get to know you.

Megan, you have an absolutely stunning family!

  6. Megan your site looks great!  I believe we share similar passions and goals.  The Lord has been stirring my heart for adoption…I am curious, are you in the process of adopting or still just considering it?  I also have a passion to write about the “real” tough stuff in life and how Jesus loves us through it all.  Check out our blog at http://standingonpeace.com/  I look forward to getting to know you!  Blessings.

    • Jillian,

I am so glad you found me! I look forward to getting to know you as well :) We are in the process of getting our finances in order to better prepare ourselves to adopt. We hope to begin the application and home study process soon. Just waiting on God’s timing. What about you? What stage of the adoption process are you in?
